All Zip Money purchases include an interest-free period, meaning customers won’t pay any interest if they repay their order within that timeframe. Once the period ends, standard interest rates apply*.
Interest free options for merchants
As a merchant, you may be eligible to offer interest-free periods ranging from 3 to 72 months.
You can choose which interest-free terms to offer, but please note that longer interest-free periods will result in a higher merchant service fee.
If you’d like to review or update your current interest-free offer, please contact the Merchant Experience Team. Will review your request and confirm eligibility, rates, and any applicable changes.
Changing interest free periods on customer orders
If you need to adjust a customer’s interest free period, please email our Merchant Experience Team with:
- The customer’s order details
- The new interest-free period you’d like applied
Our team will promptly review and process the request.
If the new term is longer than the original offer, a higher merchant service fee may apply. This additional fee will be added to your merchant account as an arrears balance, and the difference will be withheld from your next disbursement.
Please Note:
If the customer’s original interest-free term has already expired, we won’t be able to extend it further.
*Any remaining balance after the interest-free period ends will be charged at the standard variable rate of 25.9% p.a. (as at 1 May 2023). Interest, fees, and charges are subject to change — see Zip’s Terms & Conditions for details.
